Last Week of Summer
This past weekend I spent some time down in Carbondale with some friends that I met this summer. It was fun to get away for the weekend and just be able to visit them before I have to go back to school. I feel like this summer has been a season of goodbye's but at the same time I have learned that goodbye doesn't mean you lose contact or won't see each other again. I've spent this week catching up, packing for school, and meeting up with people from home before I leave again. With everyone back in school, I think it's about time to go back. However, I have enjoyed having a little extra time to spend with friends and watch some of my brothers baseball games. I will move in this weekend and start classes next Wednesday.

Summer 2010
This summer has been a season of growth and experience. It was my first summer home from college, so it was hard trying to get used to be back home. My freshmen year ended on a good note. I have a great group of friends and have really started to love my "new home". All of my friends from school live far away, so that was a struggle at the start of summer.
I realized I needed to begin my busy summer in Champaign. That included an internship with Fellowship of Christian Athletes. Through this internship I spent almost 3 weeks in total at camps. I met several friends and just gained experience. Best of all this summer was a time in which I have grown closer to God. He has taught me to depend on Him more and to trust Him in all circumstances. I not only interned this summer but I also worked at Birkey's for a few hours each day. I definitely found ways to stay busy! I took a trip to West Virginia for my birthday to visit Megan. It was a fun filled weekend and great to reconnect. My sister has been gone all summer so it was pr
This summer God has taught me so much. I am so excited to be back at school and to be able to use all that I have learned. He has put some plans in my heart for the coming year and I have been praying a lot about them. I can't wait to see all that He is going to do.
This all is just a brief recap of my summer, but I am going to try and keep this pretty updated during the school year as well.
